Alocasia Polly

Alocasia Polly

Alocasia Polly - that we have hand picked for perfection. Nice and full!

With glossy, dark green leaves shaped like scalloped arrows, the Alocasia x amazonica plant gets its dramatically striking appearance from the bold silvery-green veins that streak across the leaves. Along with its “Polly” nickname, the plant is also commonly called Polly African mask, elephant's ear or Amazon taro.

  • Scatter cocoa bean hulls or shredded bark around the base of the plant. These materials not only provide nutrients for the soil, but also hold moisture in the ground.

  • Water the Alocasia Polly often enough to keep the soil consistently moist. The exact watering schedule depends on the time of year and current climate. For example, it might be necessary to water your Polly every one or two days during the dry heat in the summer, but only every few weeks during the rainy season.

  • Does great in medium to low light
